1. Each member of the crew shall have a described duty aboard the ship. It is that being’s responsibility to perform that duty to the best of their abilities at all times. Any crew member found shirking their duties will be assessed a penalty deemed appropriate by the captain and first mate.
2. Each member of the crew shall be entitled to a share in any profits from any privateering operation. The captain is entitled to two shares, the first mate one and one half shares and any other crew member one share each. Two shares will be taken as ship’s reserve funds for any unforeseen accidents. Injuries to crew members and repairs to the ship will be taken from this fund.
3. During the taking of a prize, the intact capture of the vessel and its’ contents are the primary objective. Wonton destruction and acts of terrorism are not.
4. Crew members of a prize are not necessarily the enemy. They are to be treated with concern for their well being. It is better to be known as a privateer of high space than as a ruthless, bloodthirsty pirate.
5. While planetside crew members doings are their own business. Any wages made by crew members while planetside are their own. Any profits made by transporting goods through high space will have one tenth deducted for ship’s reserve funds.
6. Aside from during a hostile engagement no lethal weapons are to be carried aboard ship. Any such weapons will be locked in the weapons locker until such eventuality of said engagement.
7. Any personal conflicts that arise during a cruise will be put aside until the two parties are planetside. At that time the two parties will be allowed to settle their disagreement via duel. NO duels or other altercations will be tolerated aboard ship. Any offenders will be locked in the brig until the next planetfall and will be penalized their share of any prize on that cruise. Repeat offenders will be marooned.
8. Duels between crew members are to be fought in a manner mutually agreed upon by the two parties before planetfall. The result of the duel is final and both parties are expected to abide by the decision.
